The Roman Fort Gate, located at 150 London Wall in the City of London, is a significant historical site that offers a glimpse into London's ancient past. This area was once part of the Roman city of Londinium, established around AD 50. The Romans constructed a formidable defensive wall around the city between AD 190 and 225, encircling approximately 134 hectares and standing over 6 meters high. The Roman Fort Gate was part of a larger fortification system designed to protect Londinium from potential threats. Over the centuries, the Roman city wall underwent several modifications.
