Gathorne Robert Girdlestone (1881–1950) was a pioneering British orthopaedic surgeon renowned for his significant contributions to the field. Born in Headington, Oxford, he was the son of Robert Baker Girdlestone, Canon of Christ Church, Oxford, and the first Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.
